Dorman Museum provides learning opportunities for all ages. The staff run reminiscence events for older residents; special workshops for adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems and multicultural events for refugees and local Asian and African community groups. Curatorial staff offer sessions to specialists groups relating to specific parts of the museum’s collections. They run a wide range of lectures; listed on the ‘What’s On’ section of the Museum website.

These sessions have proved to be very popular, and we are continuing to run the evenings with sessions which are focussing on the history of the area. We are working with the Dorman Museum on this as well.
