STREETS AHEAD - CRIME PREVENTION IN GRESHAM
Streets Ahead has a major role in the monitoring and reporting of crime and antisocial behaviour in Gresham
We have effective liaisons and partnerships with the local Police, PCSOs and Street Wardens as well as the local Council and Ward Councillors. They are regular visitors to Streets Ahead to exchange information about problems in the community and to report back on how problems and issues have been tackled and resolved.
Not only crime of course, but this liaison is vital in looking after vulnerable or older residents. We are ideally placed to let the authorities know when someone has stopped being seen in Streets Ahead or on the local streets. On several occasions this has enabled Police and Wardens to act quickly to check on members of the community and ensure they are safe and well or take emergency action to help them.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO TACKLE CRIME AND ASB IN YOUR AREA
REPORT IT NOW!! is the key message. If you don't tell us (ideally straightaway) about problems, then we can't do anything about them and the Police, PCSOs, and Wardens will find it difficult to deal with the situations and tackle perpetrators of crime .
who do we work with in gresham on crime prevention ?
There are many of them! We work closely with the Street Wardens, Police Officers and PCSOs in the Gresham area.
They are on the streets of Gresham day and night in all weathers and are there to help residents and protect them from crime and anti-social behaviour. So be nice to them - they are doing a tough job!
And don't forget that your Council and local Councillors make a real contribution to crime prevention in the community in many different ways.
