Streets ahead worked with the Dorman Museum to organise these very popular sessions that were focussed on local history. Each session was delivered by local residents known for their knowledge of the history of the area. They covered topics such as the shops, travel, local nights out and entertainment and more.

DORMAN MUSEUM
The Dorman Museum offers a great range of permanent display galleries to captivate visitors of all ages, from space to Middlesbrough through time. The museum houses the largest public collection of Linthorpe Art Pottery, as well as designs by the renowned British designer, Christopher Dresser.
The museum provides learning opportunities for all ages. The staff run reminiscence events for older residents; special workshops for adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems and multicultural events for refugees and local Asian and African community groups. Curatorial staff offer sessions to specialists groups relating to specific parts of the museum’s collections.
