My Gresham- Your Gresham is an oral history project for the Gresham area aimed at briging together the local community and improving cohesion in our community.

VISITS TO DORMAN MUSEUM
Dorman Museum provides learning opportunities for all ages. The staff run reminiscence events for older residents; special workshops for adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems and multicultural events for refugees and local Asian and African community groups. Curatorial staff offer sessions to specialists groups relating to specific parts of the museum’s collections. They run a wide range of lectures; listed on the ‘What’s On’ section of the Museum website.

The project has supported lots of groups of friends to visit the Museum, and interest is growing. We can arrange for small and large group of Gresham residents to have a great day out at Dorman Museum. |

These sessions- delivered by local residents known for their knowledge of the history of the area cover topics such as the shops, travel, local nights out and entertainment and more.
These sessions have proved to be very popular, and we are continuing to run the evenings with sessions which are focussing on the history of the area. We are working with the Dorman Museum on this as well. |
