How it will work - getting started
For each alley a resident ‘Champion’ will be identified as the lead for their alley. Each Champion will link with local residents in their alley to help them put forward their ideas for improving their alley. A panel consisting of residents and others will work with each group on these ideas and agrre the funding and support that each group will need. We will hold a series of practical workshops in alleys to support the groups, including plant and food growing workshops and we will work with Middlesbrough Council staff to improve levels of recycling. In addition to regular ‘get-togethers’ for group members to share good news stories and tips we will hold a ‘Great Alley’ competition and celebration event open to all participants in the area when the makeover work is completed. |
