Streets Ahead Managment Commitee Chair and regular volunteer helper, Linda Mole
Past Chair of Gresham Community Council and Chair of Streets Ahead Management Committee since the start of Streets Ahead over 12 years ago, Linda Mole has been the driving force of th is organisation since its inception.
Linda was presented with the Mayors Award in 2013 for her unstinting work in Gresham and in recognition of her tireless work for her community.
The accolade recognises Linda’s contribution to life in the town and her commitment to a wide range of community groups and organisations. After 30 years as an administrator with Arriva, Linda retired in 1999, going on to serve as a volunteer and member of the management committee of Ayresome Community Enterprise from 1999 to 2011. This role developed her interest in the town’s community council network, and she was chairman of Gresham Community Council from 2001 till 2015. Linda also serves as a member of the Friends of Ayresome Gardens management committee, and is a member of the Gresham Communities First Panel. She is married to Tony, and has two stepchildren Lynda and Darren and four grandchildren.

Streets Ahead Project Manager Kim May
Manager at Streets Ahead for nearly 8 years Kim worked as a project and operations manager in the community and education sectors for 15 years with extensive experience of fund raising, bid-writing and operational strategies. I now manages one of the most successful community support operations in Middlesbrough with links with the community and voluntary sector throughout the north east. As Learning Centre Project Manager with Redcar and Cleveland Learning Partnership I developed eight village learning centres across the East Cleveland area and as Deputy Neighbourhood Manager with Stockton Borough Council I implemented the Neighbourhood Regeneration Management Delivery Plan. I have also worked as the Economic Development Manager at Five Lamps and as Education Adviser for County Durham TEC working in partnership with educational institutions throughout the County to raise achievement levels. I also worked as the Small Business Enterprise Officer in the Small Firms Service and have qualifications in Management Studies.
